We've all wandered through a crowded mall or a country fair or a city street corner where some colorfully dressed performer, sometimes with make-up, sometimes without presents our child with a dog or a flower made out of a balloon.
We marvel at our child's smile. We wonder, "How come the balloons don't pop?". We share our child's disappointment when the balloon animal pops, or slowly deflates at the end of the bed over several weeks.
Balloon animals are fascinating, right? Well, if you don't think so check out the work of Jason Hackenwerth.
Here is a man who has taken balloon modeling into the realm of sci-fi. His sculptures are a mixture of H.P.Lovecraft meets H.G. Wells meets Krusty the Klown. Definitely worth a look.
