I knew this day would come: Zero Punctuation is taking EVE Online to the woodshed. Whenever Yahtzee cranks out a new inflammatory video I inevitably find myself drawn to it, along with most of the intertubes. Let’s face it: He’s hilarious, and his points are often spot on.
But most importantly, I can’t quite argue against anything he says without looking like one of the acne-ridden overweight nerds he so handily disparages every single episode.
This one, like all the others, is riddled with bias, which is probably why I can smirk without taking too much offense. The fact is, some people (like myself) don’t mind a lack of instant gratification, and enjoy working in concert with dozens if not hundreds of other players in what can be fairly described as an interactive spreadsheet with fancy spaceships.
So fine, I laughed. But I refuse to enjoy it.
