Video: Hello Kitty Online, The Path to Greatness

Let’s set aside the stigma attached to Sanrio’s woefully saccharine characters, and consider the benefits of playing the upcoming Hello Kitty Online.

First, there’s conquest. Chances are the droves of people signing up won’t be very well versed in traditional MMO tactics. While it’s hard to judge how in-depth the player-versus-enemy content will be, what does the average 7-year-old know about managing aggro, or farming monsters for valuable loot? And as a Harvest Moon junkie, this may be the closest I get to running my own expansive estate in an MMO.

Grind for experience, pay careful attention to the market’s demands — tactics small children won’t possibly be able to comprehend — and there’s a ridiculous potential for digital profits there. Kitty dollars galore to… buy in-game stuff, I guess.

Did I mention it’s free to play? There’s nothing to lose except dignity.
