Sweden’s pop weirdo Dungen may not deliver much when it comes to album titles. Its fifth full-length, out September 30, is called 4. C’mon, marketing department. That’s just ridiculous.

That said, Led Zeppelin named its first four amazing albums after itself. So fine, Dungen, have it your way. Your music is hypnotic enough to make listeners forget about that kind of thing anyway.

Take a listen to Dungen’s "Satt Att See," and you might see what I mean. I don’t understand Dungen’s native tongue, which makes the band’s swirling sonics, which I do understand (and love) that much more intriguing. "Satt Att See" sounds like a head-on collision between Santana, Jaga Jazzist, Os Mutantes and, well, bands I haven’t heard before. That’s a lot of territory to cover.

Speaking of, Dungen hits the road soon, head-tripping Brooklyn on October 24 and wrapping in Los Angeles on November 12. I haven’t seen the band live yet, but if its show is as interesting as its releases, but not their titles, I’m sold.
