Lonelygirl Jessica Rose Gets Schooled in Sorority Forever

Bree may have been killed off in Lonelygirl15, but actress Jessica Rose is alive and well as a college co-ed in a new web series.

But all is not well on campus, and Rose’s character, Julie Gold, soon discovers something darker at play in Sorority Forever (trailer embedded), debuting Monday at defunct-network-turned online-video-hub TheWB.com.

For Rose, who post-YouTube landed roles on university romp Greek and I Know Who Killed Me, returning to the web is a bit of a homecoming.

"After Lonelygirl15, I thought I would transition to the mainstream, quit internet and move to TV," said Rose in an interview. "But actually, [web shows] are the new mainstream."

Forever boasts an impressive roster of talent behind the camera as well.

Big Fantastic, the digital media foursome behind Emmy-nominated teen scream web series Prom Queen, created and scripted the show, while director McG (Terminator Salvation, Charlie’s Angels) served as executive producer to the series.

The show certainly has star power, but the question remains: Will audiences watch? Rose’s net following may be enough to draw audiences in, but whether viewers will stick around for the entire 40-episode series remains to be seen.

Sorority Forever airs daily on MySpaceTV and TheWB.com.
