Only days after announcing the downloadable PlayStation Network shooter Punisher: No Mercy, developer Zen Studios has revealed the game's first screenshots on the official PlayStation Blog.
As the name suggests, the game is based on Marvel Comics' Punisher character, and presumably is being developed as a vague tie-in to the upcoming Punisher: War Zone film (due this holiday season).
I was very wary of this title when it was first revealed, but based on the screens, I at least feel confident in saying the game looks good. The real test will be whether Zen Studios can capture the nihilistic, prototypical anti-hero slant of the comic books -- or, at the very least, the awesome wackiness of the 1989 Dolph Lundgren film.
