Music Bounce is a clever little beat-based puzzler, sort of a cross between a pachinko machine and a synthesizer.
Colored blocks litter every stage, representing notes and tones. On the left you'll find gates, counting down 8 beats, repeatedly. Click on a gate to launch a bouncing metal ball on a specific beat, starting a cycle that will continue every 8 beats, until you close the gate. Use those metal balls to hit the colored blocks. Once hit, the blocks will disappear for 8 beats, replaced by a loading bar which balls can pass through. The goal of the game is to hit every block on the stage, at least once.
The difficulty lies in timing your gate releases just right. The number of gates you can open on each level are limited, so you'll have to figure out which gates to open in what order, at what precise time, to make a path for other balls to travel through.
Every level has a distinct melody, though it'll take a bit of effort to get the timing just right, and it isn't necessary to play a song perfectly to clear a level.
If you've beaten all 50 levels, or think you can craft a better ditty to bounce to, head over to the Let's Make A Game community site and create your own levels (you'll need to register), or check out some user-made ones.
