The Imperial Fleet takes over downtown San Francisco in a new fan-made video on Current TV.
Star Wars enthusiast Michael Horn made the short tribute using just a DV camera for the Bay Area footage and editing programs After Effects and Final Cut to add the otherworldly effects.
"I was raised on Star Wars and really love the aesthetics of the Imperial ships and vehicles," Horn told the Official Star Wars blog. "I wanted to see what it would look like if our Moon was actually the Death Star, so I took it from there."
Watch right as the Death Star hovers in orbit behind Coit Tower, cruisers fly over the Golden Gate Bridge, AT-AT’s march on Ocean Beach alongside joggers and TIE fighters double as police vehicles.
