Time to find out what Criterion Games has got cooking for its next planned update to Burnout Paradise.

Appropriately renamed "Bikes Pack" -- it was previously code-named "Davis" -- the free update will indeed bring us two-wheeled driving satisfaction by introducing two motorcycles: an FV1100 street bike and a Japanese Firehawk racing bike. You'll be able to unlock more after you've played some of the bike-specific content.

The pack will also bring day cycling to Paradise City, which will not only affect the skies above, but the city below as well, with traffic density based on the time of the day. A dynamic weather system will be another first for the series.

Similar to the "Burning Route" mode -- car-specific clocked races --
"Burnout Rides" will add multiple checkpoints to the routes. Play them at night, and they turn into "Midnight Rides."

Rounding things up are 70 new bike-only challenges. Half of them will take the form of timed multi-part challenges, similar to what was introduced with last month's "Cagney" update.

The "Bikes Pack" is due for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game in September.
