Want to level up your character in Tales of Vesperia without having to do all that pesky gameplay? Just buy some levels. For cash.
Purchasing new songs in Rock Band is one thing. Purchasing new guns or horse armor is a bit sketchier, but it still could be argued that there's some real-world value if the game's designers had to continue to be paid to create the new content. But now you can pay Namco Bandai some money for literally nothing.
Three downloadable level upgrades are currently being offered for the Xbox 360 role-playing game: Two that add five levels for $2.50 each, and one that adds ten levels for $3.75. But as Siliconera points out, these packs are limited to one purchase, meaning you can pay around $9 to give your character a 20-level upgrade -- but it stops there.
If you want to pay even more money for nothing, you can download 300,000 "gald" (the game's currency), for $3.75.
Special message to anyone who downloads these: Thank you for helping to ruin the videogame industry.
Tales of Vesperia ships this week in North America.
