If we're to believe Home producer Martijn Van der Meulen, Sony's long-awaited virtual space for the PlayStation 3 is "guaranteed" to be released by the end of the year.
He said as much while talking to IGN, adding that Home will "always be a free service." Premium content in the form of virtual goods is a whole 'nother story, of course.
In a sign that things are moving along at a good pace, Sony has recently opened up its beta testing for the service with calls over the PlayStation Store for submissions in both Japan and North America.
So: Home, 2008, or else Van der Meulen is gonna get it.
