On Monday outside of the Embassy Suites in Montreal, some tool looted The Stooges' rented Penske truck and made off with everything from Mike Watt's bass, pictured above, to Ron Asheton guitars and Scott Asheton's drums. It is truly a crime against rock, and the thief should hang his head in shame.
this audio or video is no longer availableWatt hit me with an email about it this morning, and has set up a post on his Hoot Page detailing, with pictures, everything that was lost, as well as who to call if you have any knowledge of the gear's whereabouts.
I would implore anyone with information on the incident to contact The Stooges as soon as possible, so that the show can indeed go on. Long live rock. Down with punk-ass thieves.
