In an effort to hit the game's Fall release window, Mythic vice president Mark Jacobs has revealed that the Warhammer Online developers have had to dump a number of previously planned features.
Included in the culling are four character classes (Choppa, Hammerer, Blackguard, Knight of the Blazing Sun) as well as the capital cities for all factions other than the Humans and the Chaos Inevitable forces.
In an effort to curtail any rumors among the fanbase, Jacobs also addressed the idea that the cuts resulted from interference by Mythic's parent company Electronic Arts: "This has nothing to do with EA ... they had zero input in this."
In other news, Jacobs also revealed that Warhammer Online will use Punkbuster as an anti-cheating device. Interesting choice, given that the software is used primarily in online shooters, while MMO titles generally create their own anti-cheating technology.
