Along with a host of gameplay changes, the Wrath of the Lich King expansion for World of Warcraft will also treat players to dynamic lighting — a first for the venerable MMO.
Now, instead of shapely darkened blobs, player shadows will react realistically as characters move in relation to various light sources in the world.
It may not seem like a huge change, but for those who spend months in a virtual world, every added bit of immersion can only help.
