Fans enjoying the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix open beta will be happy to hear that Capcom has postponed the program's end to September 5 -- a 15-day extension that gives the company time to test its newly detailed patch.

The patch brings with it a number of tweaks to the title's gameplay -- seemingly in an effort to recreate the arcade game of old -- though most importantly, it also brings a number of alterations to the game's netcode designed to make the game more stable when played over the 'net.

Still no official word on when the HD Remix is going to see public release, but at least those who shelled out $10 for Commando 3 specifically to enter the SSFIITHDR beta (read: me) should enjoy the experience a lot more once they're able to reliably join and sustain matches.
