The Office doesn't begin its new season until September, but to keep water coolers buzzing in the meantime, Mindy Kaling will judge a beet-eating contest at a shopping mall in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on July 19.
Kaling, who plays Kelly Kapoor on the show and co-produces the series, is visiting the hometown of make-believe paper company Dunder Mifflin to celebrate the new The Office DVD Board Game. The interactive trivia game challenges Office fanatics to test their expertise about the ins and outs of the faux company and its drone employees.
Elsewhere in Office land, a new set of webisodes debuts Thursday on the show's official website. Titled Kevin’s Loan, the shorts star Brian Baumgartner, who shakes off his character's lethargy long enough to embark on a scheme to pay down gambling debts.
