We've had access to Firefox 3 for some time now, but we still keep finding new features. This one comes from a LinuxWorld article detailing a dozen Firefox hacks. The Mozilla team gussied up the Page Info screen. You can get there by clicking the favicon (which will show identity information if the site has an SSL certificate), then "more information." Yes, the old shortcut Ctrl+I (Cmd+I on Mac) still works.
The Page Info screen has long been useful for some quick and dirty information, such as the HTML file size of the current page. In Firefox 3, we get so much more: all the meta tags, direct access to permissions (such as pop-up blocker), and a quick jump to the site's cookies and saved passwords.
Perhaps the coolest addition to the Page Info screen is the list of all media in the page. Every image and embedded Flash object is listed. You can preview the item, as well as save it. No need for the DownloadThemAll extension now that you can highlight every object and save.
