Seeqpod, which scours the internet for music files and serves them up for your listening pleasure in a variety of ways, has some new tricks up its sleeve. First, since music festival season is in full swing, the site now offers playable calendars that let you preview the bands that are playing each day at a variety of live events (see the example below, which highlights the Friday night line-up at All Tomorrow’s Parties New York in September).
Not only is this a great way to plan your summer listening schedule, but you can also listen to music from festivals past in case you missed them.
Seeqpod also launched links to three music blogs showcasing songs from its vast, real-time directory of music including DearRockers, which showcases letters fans have written to their favorite artists, enclosing $5 as karmic payback for any music that they may or may not have been downloaded without permission.
When not busy adding new features, Seeqpod likes long walks on the beach and fending off lawsuits from Warner Music Group.
