Rivalry Escalates In YouTube Dance Battle

It was just a matter of time.

Less than two weeks after Miley Cyrus and her Miley and Mandy Show cohort Mandy Jiroux posted their latest offering in the be-all, end-all YouTube dance battle, Step Up 2: The Streets director Jon Chu and Adam Sevani on Monday posted a taunting response (right).

Telling the M&M Cru twosome that they "better get more ice cream" with which to drown their sorrows, the Adam/Chu Dance Crew partners proclaim in this latest installment that the live face-off promised at the end of M&M Cru’s last video is indeed a reality.

"The biggest online dance battle in the history of mankind will now be the biggest dance battle in the history of mankind, period," reads the info box on the video’s YouTube page. "In the meantime, we’ll be training."

A little bit of the training in progress is seen here, though not much, leading one to believe the best will be saved for the dance-off. What did premier here, however, are the Brobots — ACDC’s answer to  the Gayliens, who dance in the M&M Cru vids. OK, Brobots? That’s pretty tight.

You know what else is tight? Sevani’s T-shirt. Those "down with the Adam/Chu Dance Crew" can pick them up here. Proceeds from the shirts to to Invisible Children, a non-profit that helps raise money for services for young people affected by the war in northern Uganda. See? Good things can come from silly YouTube dance beefs. Classy move ACDC!

All these warm-fuzzies aside, no actual date or location has been set for this ultimate face-off, but if the mounting tension is any indication it will be epic. And with all the celebrity cameos and over-the-top shenanigans that have come already the only way either of these crews is really going to step its game up is if they arrive at said battle with Michael frakkin’ Jackson, which at this point doesn’t seem that unlikely.  Somebody better be ready to be pwned!
