Somewhere between Rush, Kyuss and Black Mountain exists the tasty riffage of Your Highness Electric, whose latest effort Grand Hooded Phantom dropped on Tuesday. Those looking for throwback shredders in the vein of Led Zeppelin and Jane’s Addiction should also feel right at home, especially after downloading the free MP3s below.

Based in the same Kentucky thick that birthed Slint and its metal byproduct Dead Child, Your Highness Electric was formed in 2005 out of the ashes of Christansen, as well as other bands that Highness architect Brandon Bear Bondehagen counts as friends. It’s a family affair, evidently: The band’s members are scattered across the world, playing in different bands like Young Love, The Exit and The Bronx, to go along with Bear’s other bands like yesteryear’s Flight Nineteen and today’s Sharpening Markers.

Dude is busy.
