The trailer for sleeper hit sci-fi movie Zero Trooper F has just landed online.
The film wowed audiences at the 2008 Wisconsin Film Festival in late April — even though it was shot by a group of students for under a grand.
Zero Trooper F, an homage to pre-CGI monster movies like Godzilla, opens with a white, fuzzy kaiju leveling the fictional town of Greenside City, Wisconsin.
After a squadron of fighter pilots proves unable to take down the rampaging beast, a genius scientist steps in with his latest invention to help the military’s Zero Troopers — who are dead ringers for Power Rangers — fight the giant monster.
No word yet if there will be additional screenings of producer/director Eric Lim’s film, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a festival circuit tour this summer.
