Waiting breathlessly for the release of the Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable content? You'll be waiting just a bit longer.
Gamasutra, summarizing a recent conference call, says that Take Two has bumped back the release of the exclusive Xbox 360 content to the first quarter of the company's 2009 fiscal year, which starts in November 2008.
Take-Two stressed that the delay was due to wanting to finesse the company's release schedule to maximize gains -- "portfolio balancing," chairman Strauss Zelnick called it -- and not any issue with the content development.
Another fun tidbit from the conference call: Take-Two is saying that Gore Verbinski's BioShock movie could be ready to go alongside the launch of BioShock 3, whenever that happens. (Of course there's going to be a BioShock 3.)
