Last month, Listening Post kick-started the recurring feature Fest-Full, which sifts through endless summer packages in search of the good stuff. Now we've got two more entries to add, including one in a place that could easily be mistaken for heaven on Earth.

Pemberton Festival: Tired of your metropolis? Check out this Canadian getaway, which is a couple hours outside of gorgeous Vancouver and nestled up close to snowboarding nirvana Whistler. Staging a concert this far away from mass transit is about as anti-green as you can get, but man, what a view. It's intense.

The same can be said for the lineup. The usual headliners are on tap, including Flaming Lips, Nine Inch Nails, Jay-Z, My Morning Jacket, Death Cab for Cutie and so on. But the good stuff is in the B-Live dance tent, where DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist will be holding court and no doubt cycling 45s for a reprise of their sweet Hard Sell turntablism. Vancouver's headbanging locals Black Mountain will also be on hand, as will Canada's peerless dance rockers Metric.

If those don't work for you, you could always drive about 10 miles in either direction and escape civilization entirely. O' Canada!

L.A. radio titan KCRW is taking over the Bowl to celebrate its World Festival's 10th anniversary, and bringing along a slew of great bands for the ride. Listening Post favorites Thievery Corporation and Gilberto Gil will join forces with Ozomatli, Deerhoof and more for a series that stretches across three months. Sure, it doesn't take place in a serene natural wonderland, but at least it has mass transit on board.
