The time for portable paper animal husbandry is nearly upon us, as Rare has declared Viva Pinata DS to be "complete."

The announcement comes courtesy of Rare's community letter page, Scribes, and was carried out with the company's trademark sense of humor:

And Viva Piñata DS is complete. We are just waiting for our army of university interns, illegal immigrants and small children from the local schools to assemble the hand-made cartridges that we'll be selling at all good flea markets this Sunday.

Not the actual release date that we might have wished for, but good news, nonetheless. I shall leave the jokes about whirlms in your pocket and/or being happy to see me up to you.
