Sony expects to move ten million PlayStation 3s during this fiscal year, which ends in March 2009.
That number would mark a slight increase over the amount of PS3s sold during the last fiscal year, just over nine million. Sony is also predicting a rise in PSP sales between now and next March -- 15 million units, up from last year's total of just under 14 million sold.
Lest you think that Sony is simply forecasting winners across the board, the company projections are figuring on a drop in PlayStation 2 sales, down from just under 14 million to 9 million.
With titles like Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBigPlanet, and (theoretically) Home on the horizon, it seems to me that Sony should be able to live up to its PS3 forecast, but I consulted with an expert, just to be sure. What's your prediction?
