Yes, iPhones are still "currently unavailable" on Apple's U.S. and U.K. online stores. But an interesting new option popped up on the AT&T Wireless site over the weekend. The company is now listing a second model of the iPhone in its device database known only as "iPhone Black." An Apple Insider reader first noticed this model on Sunday, and if you happen to be an AT&T customer yourself, you can check it out by logging into your account and then choosing to update your handset model. Unfortunately, there's no other information about specs or whether this is even a reference to the expected 3-G model. Now, the simple explanation could be that an AT&T webmaster just screwed up while adjusting/updating some fields. But for those who want to maintain their 3-G iPhone rumor highs, you could also see this as a possible confirmation of those early rumors about black-backed version of the phone. The choice is yours.
