The one-man sonic universe otherwise known as Beck has posted most of a new song, called "Chemtrails," to give fans a taste of his upcoming Danger Mouse-produced album, Modern Guilt.

The slow intro to "Chemtrails" sounds like it was composed by Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, but the track soon unfolds into Beck's everything-including-the-kitchen-sink style, with crashing piano chords, reedy drones, thunderous drum fills and an airy falsetto floating eerily above it all.

We've heard he has ties to scientology; if so, whatever they're putting in the water at those treatment centers sounds like it's working pretty well in this case. "Chemtrails" marks another significant step forward for this lyrical and musical genius.
