Your desert island fantasies will now not only include monkeys, coconuts, and blue lagoons, but also a fair bit of waggling as the Lost in Blue series makes its way to the Wii.

There have been three Lost in Blue games for the Nintendo DS thus far, each one expanding on the "stuck on a desert island" theme. The ultimate goal was to make the best life for yourself by learning how to survive off the land, catching food, making a living area, and eventually getting off the island. Lost in Blue 3 also has you use the DS microphone to talk to chimps, but the less said about that, the better.

Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked for the Wii will allow "players to realistically practice survival tasks, with more than 40 mini-games including fishing, carpentry, fire-making and other all-new cooperative games." Think there's a mini-game for cutting off a pig's head and putting it on a stake?

The Lost in Blue games are aggravating, yet oddly addictive, as each day on the island presents you with new challenges to conquer and advances to make. Their major downfall is that unless you've played previous titles, you're often left with little to no idea as to how to make progress. Shipwrecked apparently hopes to avoid that issue by providing a tutorial with a greater emphasis on exploration, so that newcomers won't become frustrated or stuck.**

Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked is due out this Fall.
