Amanda Congdon is back in the online saddle.
The former host of popular daily news vlog Rocketboom is launching a new web show this week called Sometimesdaily.
Billed as an "off-beat, interactive variety show," the show marks Congdon’s return to the small screen after a tumultuous few years in web show biz. Congdon maintains she was fired from Rocketboom in 2006, and most of her subsequent ventures, like hosting a weekly video podcast on ABC, went unnoticed or fizzled abruptly.
Congdon posted a teaser clip of her show (above); and it’s hard to tell what to make of the short promo. Judging by the comments posted on the show’s site, it’s clear viewers aren’t totally sold on the new concept.
User McGillicutty wrote: "Huh? What the hell was that video about? It was confusing and not funny. But you remain, as ever, good looking," while another user, tagami, posted: "Woohoo! Amanda is back! Strange pre-episode, but I expect nothing less."
