We've reviewed a lot of cool Twitter tools, from desktop clients to web mashups, but what about figuring out who to follow? When you sign up Twitter does a decent job of discovering any of your contacts that are already using Twitter, but when it comes to finding new people Twitter can seem overwhelming.

That's why I was excited to stumble across Whoshouldifollow.com, which makes it easy to find new Twitter friends. Just enter your Twitter username and Whoshouldifollow will crawl your existing friends, see who their friends are, look for connections back to you and suggest a list of people to start following.

The site isn't perfect, but the results for my own account were pretty good. In fact a number of the suggestions were people I actually had followed, but decided not to for one reason or another (my Twitter account was becoming too much of a firehouse, so I've thinned the herd a few times, no offense to anyone I've stopped following).

Still, if you've just jumped into the the Twitter fun and want to expand your friends and meet some new people, Whoshouldifollow is a great and really easy way to do that.

And if you're looking for random friends, Compiler has a Twitter account you can follow.
