Former TRL host Carson Daly gets back to his video-countdown roots by backing The Really Big Internet Show, a web-based variety show.
The late-night gabber tapped geeky video blogger Justine Ezarik to host the daily webcast, which is slated to launch in mid-July. In a recent video interview with TV Week, Ezarik described the show as a "roundtable discussion with popular internet people ... talking about different things in tech."
Daly and production house Madison Road Entertainment are looking to score big with the YouTube crowd: They've recruited a team of popular web personalities like internet comedy duo Rhett&Link and vloggers KevJumba and Katers17 to make regular appearances on the show as well.
