Despite the fact that Age of Conan won't officially hit store shelves until tomorrow, all 110,000 copies of the game's limited Collector's Edition have been sold, according to a press release issued by AoC publisher Funcom.
After the recent, abrupt closure of the game's pre-release early access program due to overwhelming, unforeseen pre-order numbers, this latest sales milestone comes as no surprise.
"Everyone in Funcom is delighted and humbled with the historical pre-order numbers for Age of Conan," said Funcom VP of Sales and Marketing Morten Larssen. "If the information we have is correct, they represent the highest pre-order number for any global launch of an original PC game, ever, including the original World of Warcraft launch."
