On Saturday April 12th, nearly 200 parties around the globe will celebrate the anniversary of the first manned space flight. Dubbed Yuri's Night, after Yuri Gagarin, the Russian Cosmonaut who made the historic voyage on in 1961, the annual celebration is now in it's eighth year.
In addition to the blowout bash held at the NASA Ames Research Center in the Bay Area, festivities are scheduled around the planet, from Zero G flights at the Houston Space Center to students celebrating in Ethiopia and an all-night party at the South Pole research station.
