In the early 1970's, Vint Cerf helped create the predecessor of today's internet; nowadays he uses that same internet to enjoy World of Warcraft with his son.
The game is a problem-solving exercise, Cerf says in a recent Esquire interview. In-game you're "actually interacting with each other. You're solving problems." Cerf says. "They may seem like simple problems, but you're solving them."
"I haven't spent a lot of time playing World of Warcraft, because my impression is that it takes a serious amount of time to play it well," he adds, noting that it may seem like a "waste of time to play World of Warcraft with your son."
Along with his earlier accomplishments, the 64-year-old Cerf is currently the Vice President of Google, as well as the company's Chief Internet Evangelist.
