It's almost surprising that it took this long, but a game to help kids study for the SATs will be coming out for the Nintendo DS later this year.
Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions didn't announce details about the game it's developing with Aspyr Media to create the game, but it will probably include Brain Age-style minigames that cover standard SAT question areas like math, vocabulary, reading comprehension and analogies.
The SAT prep game will also be available for PC and Mac, but bringing it to the DS makes great sense. Kaplan's SAT programs work, but they're about as exciting as watching a knitting competition. Doing the same kind of exercises with the DS is a much more appealing option.
Kaplan provides test prep services for more than just the SATs, it also provides study assistance for medical and law school exams. Keep your fingers crossed for a Phoenix Wright/LSAT test prep crossover.
