British Airways hasn't gotten enough bad press lately, so they've decided to take things up a notch by losing a dead man's baggage.
Professor Joel Richman was enjoying British Airways flight 026, convenient nonstop service from Hong Kong to London, when he suddenly died of congestive cardiomyopathy. When grieving family members proceeded to baggage claim to pick up the late Prof. Richman's luggage, they found themselves in the same boat as thousands of other British Airways passengers -- the bags were MIA.
As if that wasn't bad enough, the no-show suitcase contained the late professor's address book and cell phone, which means the family can't contact people about the funeral. They're going to go ahead with it though, because who knows when they'll get the bags back. They're hoping they can reach people by email.
British Airways admits that it has no idea where the bags are, but says that they're working on it.
