Ubisoft has promised to deliver the next chapter in the The Prince of Persia saga to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC by the end of this year.
Regular Game|Life readers will remember that Ubisoft announced a new chapter in the Prince series this past January, and that the company recently trademarked the name Prince of Persia Prodigy. Irregular Game|Life readers should add more fiber to their diet.
Ubisoft's Montreal studio, which was responsible for Assassin's Creed, as well as the previous PoP titles (including my favorite, The Sands of Time, picture above), will be working on the new Persia game. According to Ubisoft, this new game will "open a new chapter in the Prince of Persia universe" and feature a "new breed of gameplay." It will also introduce a "brand-new illustrative art style."
The* Prince of Persia* game that is in development for the Nintendo DS will feature "an entirely new storyline and new characters," said Ubisoft.
