Sick of all the iClones out there? Think you can design a phone that doesn't blatantly rip off core design elements from other popular handsets? Well, my friends, now is your chance. LG is running an "Innovation Challenge" that asks John and Susie Q Public to come up with their own special "dream phone." LG will then steal the best idea and give the designer a 52-inch LCD TV, a HD DVD/Blu-ray combo player and $10,000 in hush money. Unfortunately, you only have until April 30 to submit your entry so no dawdling.
I just hope someone designs a phone version of the Homer that's still "powerful like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf ball."
