The full-length trailer for Hellboy II: The Golden Army just surfaced online — and the film looks like a true creature feature.
Director Guillermo del Toro, who also directed Pan’s Labyrinth, has fleshed out a menagerie of characters that are a mind-bending mix of steampunk-inspired oddities, with little CGI.
The sequel to 2004’s Hellboy, this comic-inspired film follows a folkloric battle for Earth — which means lots more of the kickass fight scenes glimpsed in the trailer (see it right). Score!
Is it just me, or does the last flash of a battle vaguely resemble Cloverfield?
Hellboy II: The Golden Army hits theaters July 11.
