ZeniMax, the parent company of Oblivion developer Bethesda Softworks, announced that it will be extending its reach into Asia with the establishment of its Tokyo-based subsidiary, ZeniMax Asia.

ZeniMax Asia will publish Bethesda games like Oblivion, Star Trek: Conquest, Star Trek: Legacy, and the much-anticipated Fallout 3 in Asia, as well as games from other developers, such as Bully and Major League Baseball 2K8.

Expanding into new territories is usually a sound business decision, but Oblivion and Fallout 3 aren't the type of RPGs that typically score well with the Japanese audience.
