As I reported two weeks ago from the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference, one of the most riveting talks at the conference was given by Jill Bolte Taylor, a neuroanatomist who gave a fascinating account of what happened to her mind and body over a four-hour period when she experienced a stroke in 1996. Taylor received a standing ovation after her talk.
