Sega Sammy will be closing down its subsidiary in Korea, which handled arcade machines and facilities, as well as the domestic distribution and sales of videogame software.
The Korea shutdown is the latest step in Sega's plan to turn its fortunes around. Earlier this year, the company announced it would be cutting 400 jobs and closing or selling 80 arcades as part of its turnaround efforts.
Sega also announced that it was also ceasing development of an entertainment complex in Yokohama, Japan so that it might "focus its efforts on its core business to improve its performance promptly."
