Rumors are swirling that the Xbox 360 will be getting a price cut for the European market, perhaps as soon as next week.
TechRadar is reporting that Microsoft will be knocking about £40 off the price of all 360 SKUs. MCV tells a different story, saying that the price for an Arcade unit will be cut by £30, but it's uncertain whether any other models will enjoy similar markdowns.
In either case, the price cut would make the hard drive-free Arcade 360 less expensive than a Wii -- the Arcade currently retails for £190, the Wii £180 -- which certainly seems in keeping with Microsoft's stated goals of attracting the family gaming market in Europe.
