Thanks to the must-see ONN (recent fave segment: “FCC Okays Nudity On TV If It’s Alyson Hannigan”), we can see what the consistently funny Onion looks like when it moves through time and space. So we don’t really need the The Onion Movie quite as badly as we did when they started shooting it, back in 2003. And, five years later, if this quite unfunny trailer’s any indication, we are pretty sure we don’t want it. (Steven Seagal as “Cockpuncher”? Even Jay Leno could do better than that.)
The film’s been sitting on Fox’s shelves for four years. Now it’s on the way to bins at your local Blockbuster. Walk, don’t run. And rent only if Epic Movie and Meet the Spartans are both checked out.
