Mohit Anand's apparent sudden decision to step down as the Entertainment and Devices Manager at Microsoft in India came as a shock to many, but he says nothing negative motivated the departure.
"It was time for me to move on to the next level to pursue my dreams," he explained to the Indian game site Game Guru. Rumor has it those dreams involve working at a company that's trying to bring the Wii to India.
Anand sidestepped such notions by saying "There are rumors and speculation floating around...but all I will say is that right now I am not going to be making any formal announcements as to where I am headed."
Whatever his motivations for leaving, Anand wanted to make it clear that they did not include internal strife at Microsoft. "I had a great time at Microsoft. It is a great company. I had a great time working there and I am amicably and with a lot of good memory parting with the company," he said.
