The ugliest looking but nevertheless most connected social networking site on the internet has scored another entry for its resume: MySpace will stream the American debut of the New Musical Express (NME) Awards live and direct.

The influential UK tastemaker has finally crossed the pond to Hollywood, which has never met an awards show it didn't like, to take over Los Angeles' El Rey Theatre on April 23. Other corporations on board for the crossover are EW.com, Heavy.com and Yahoo! Music, and while other bands scheduled to appear have yet to be announced, so far only Kate Nash has been disclosed as a headliner.
