Criterion Games has announced that a Burnout Paradise patch should be coming soon that will resolve a number of issues including crashing (of the game, not the cars), hanging, and stunts not registering the way they should.

The patch should also address problems with Achievements, awards, and challenges not registering properly if the player failed to drop out of the game cleanly. Also on the laundry list of fixes is the fact that Friends were not showing up on the minimap and that rivalries were updating incorrectly when European squared off against Japanese players.

Also included are the expected updates to improve connectivity and prevent the game from hanging during connection to the Burnout servers. The complete list of proposed Burnout Paradise repairs for v1.2 can be found on Criterion's website. There's quite a lot that needs addressing, it seems.
