Banjo-Kazooie 3 is on track for release this holiday season, according to a post made by Rare community manager George Kelion in the NeoGAF forums.
"The game is scheduled for a Holidays 2008 release - barring the coming of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, you should be playing* Banjo 3* before the end of the year (providing you buy the game, that is)," wrote Kelion.
He also wanted to point out that "we haven't been focused on 4 year-olds when creating the new Banjo game. We hope that you'll be pleasantly surprised at what we've cooked up" and that "Gregg Mayles, the creator of Banjo-Kazooie, is still the lead designer of the new Banjo game."
We could certainly use a good platformer on the Xbox 360, and hopefully Banjo 3 will bring the goods.
In other Rare news, I recently came across my copy of the GBA puzzle game It's Mr. Pants and have rediscovered how joyously silly and fantastic it is. How about a sequel to that, Rare? Please?
