zippoblu.pngIt might be a stretch to call the Zippo the Leica of the lighter world, but both companies have long pedigrees and an almost fanatical dedication to not changing. Leica finally went digital with the M8, but kept the Leica look and feel. Now Zippo has entered the 21st century in the same way with the Zippo Blu.

The Blu's name comes from the color of the flame, which is fueled by butane instead of liquid lighter fluid, but otherwise all the Zippo hallmarks are intact: The flint wheel ignition, the hinged lid and, most importantly, the Zippo click. As a sometime cigar smoker, I'd never use a regular Zippo, but the Blu's flame is flavor-free so it won't taint my Havanas. Prices start at around $30 on Amazon.
