This week's offerings on the Virtual Console are just the thing for anyone who loves animal husbandry or heavy metal. But really, who doesn't?

First up is the SNES version of Harvest Moon, which will cost you a small fortune on eBay, but only $8 on the VC. Your task is to fix up the family farm, carefully managing your resources to produce the best crops and livestock possible (tip: happy cows give more valuable milk) in order to turn the biggest profit.

Sounds dull, I know, but as anyone who's played a Harvest Moon title can attest, it's bizarrely satisfying and incredibly addictive.

Turbo Grafx 16 game Lords of Thunder (also $8) is a side-scrolling shooter with a cock rock soundtrack. I never had a Turbo
Grafx (my friend Joanne did, but she would never let me play with the damn thing), so I'm not sure if this one is worth your while or not.

The ability to choose one of four armors before deciding which of the six stages you'd like to tackle -- they can be played in any order -- sounds rather MegaMan-ish to me, which could certainly be a good thing.
If you're more familiar with this title, let us know if it's worth the price of admission.
